ShoeFly Trail Series Postscript

The Series bzzzzz’d vibrantly start to finish, from challenging ice ‘n mud ‘n rocks ‘n roots in April to splendid weather ‘n smooth trails (really?) ‘n growing camaraderie by the finale swarm on the KT five months later.  From this megaphone’s view, twas a blast watching Flys leave and return each time, even accounting for unplanned roaming from flagged routes.  None of that thrill could have happened without 3 critical Flys at the core of our success:  Julie for her early and persistent organizational setup for ShoeFly…

…and Blake Edwards for rousting the opportunity to play, figure out (tough) routes, and be Haute Chef for post-bzzz roaming on Parker Mountain terrain…

…with all of your roaming handily improved, navigation-wise, because Snowflea expended the persistent pre- (and mostly post-) bzzzz energy to mark Fly routes, without which, surely, some bzzzz’ers would be getting home in the dark…

We’re encouraged by how much of the Series played out, much of that reinforced by survey inputs – not a perfect bzzzzz, but some of that variation on the theme can’t be avoided when playing on dirt vs pavement.  As we contemplate the last few months, as backdrop for what may happen for next year’s Series, we’ll keep this website mildly active as Fall and Winter pass and draw us near to Spring; and as we figure the bzzzz plan for ’18, you’ll see comments, even pics old ‘n new, to hopefully motivate more fun next year.  Keep on bzzzzz’ing, Flys!!
